What smell are you?

Went to shop for fragrance the other day and found a couple of nice smells. I am not a fragrance guy, my Clinique Happy lasted me for years. You must be wondering how on earth a bottle of fragrance could last for years and still retain its smell?! Well, keep them out from sunlight and most importantly, keep them in the fridge!

Anyway, I end up having 2 bottles with me when I leave the mall.

A new fragrance from Calvin Klein, Eternity for Men Summer series. Launched not even a month, well, soft launch actually as CK has not really had their promo going. Very sweet, sunny and lively smell. Something nice for casual dinner.

Now this is sophisticated! Very strong in personality, independant and mature! Very good for guys high up in the corporate ladder! At least that is how the fragrance smells like to me.

I discovered this when I was changing in Fitness First. I am on full alert whenever I am in the changing room, you know especially in fitness centre with all the well built, huge and strong males around. No no, I am not afraid of them assualting me, but don't you find their bodies attractive? Especially those who have just finished their shower with water still dripping from their chest and biceps! Omigod!

Oh shit, got too carried away. Anyway, I sniffed this really cool smell and was looking around. Then I found this hairy guy with well built chest and huge arms, alrite, I'll spare you from the rest of his body. I asked him what's on him and he showed me the bottle exactly on the picture.

I was captivated by the fragrance! From such a simple bottle, no nonsense packaging and design! I am all over it!

When I was on my way to the cashier, this bottle caught my full attention. So I asked for a try. My my, this is exactly the kinda smell I wish I could find on girls! Very intellectual and outgoing, yet mystical. Very friendly but keeping you at a distance, very very attractive!

Kenzo Summer it is! But I got no one to buy this for!

Show the receipt to her lar...

I was talking to my sis the other day and was really enjoying her company and wit. I told her that there was this girl whom we have been colleagues for almost 2 years. I wanted to talk to her but everytime, there were other guys who would chip in and act cool! No way, I am not going to stick around and act like clowns to fight for her attention. So, normally I would just quiet away.

My sis asked why don't I ask her out and have some personal time with her, at least, this way you got her all booked for yourself. If others still managed to chip in while you are having dinner/lunch, your luck mate! It just means your time is not here yet.

So I told my sis, you see, your eldest brother is having my Avanza while your youngest brother is having my 405. How am I supposed to ask her out when I am only on 2 wheels? You know girls in KL, they only believe what they see. If I am on wheels, I am on wheels, where are you going to get a car to date her?

So she said to me, show her the receipt lar, tell her you are still waiting for your MyVi. While you are waiting, ask her to wait and don't promise any date with other guys coz she might just miss the best guy in her life! Hahahaha, what a direct answer! I was laughing all nite long!

Don't you just feel warm and contended when you could get along well with your brothers and sisters? Oh, where is the receipt for my MyVi?

Triple Play for starter

It was raining quite heavily when my eldest brother fetched my young sister to my office to have dinner together. We went to 1U Chilli's to have our dinner.

Actually, it was not meant to be a dinner outing but a trip to bring my sister to get a bag I promised her. We walked around from CK, Tommy, FCUK to AX but could not find any suitable one.

So I suggested to have dinner in Chilli's first then only to continue our quest for a bag. It was actually cosy and warm when you could have dinner with family members, we did a lot of chit chat and catching up. Well, it was more like catching up with my young sister as she does not stay with us, she's always with my parents back in hometown as she's still in secondary school.

I spend the least time with her as I was away for studies and most of my time in KL. But I really love my sister as she's the youngest and my only sister. I never hesitate to get her stuff that she wants as I always think being generous to family members is the best thing one could do for the family!

I got her a Nokia 3200 when I got my first bonus, she still teases me until now saying that all my mobiles do not come with radio and torch light. It was fun actually to see her happy face. Like I always tell my mum, making her happy is the best we could do as we do not know what lies ahead for her.

Being male, we could bear all the responsibilities and unfairness in life. But it's a cruel world out there for female with all the bad boys out there waiting to take advantage of female! Hurting them and breaking their heart!

I would do whatever I could to protect my sister. So, don't even think of hurting my sis, coz your neck is on the line if you mess around with her!

Month end and money issues again!

Almost month end, omigod, money issues again!

I know everyone is going thru this, month end and heaps of bills coming in. Is this what we live for? To pay bills and stuff every end of the month?

Man, I really hate this! Working your butt off and still have headache every end of the month about bills and all that!

I still have salary left from months ago, and now it's end of the month again. Which means more money coming in! What the heck, even the bills is not enough to drain my account!

I paid for the previous 2 business trips myself and still I have plentiful left! I have a few claim forms which I have not even submitted! Damn, with all this money, what can I do with them?

This is really killing me! I have been trying to not spend, and how do you expect a young fella like me to control myself with all the temptations around me!

I brought my sister around to get her some bags. Went to www.izzue.com and the sling bag is only RM70 after discount, then to Guess and the bag is only RM192. Even bag in Esprit is only RM162, S&K is only RM79. Gee, since when the accessories are so cheap? OKOK, I will check it out in FCUK before my sister is going back hometown, my best bet is it won't be more than RM300.

Seriously, I do not know what to do!

When you have expectation in life... what? More cables?

I have been telling myself not to spend, not to spend on this, not to spend on that. But when you have expectation in life, how could you not spend? When you want something to be better, how could you not spend to get better out of it?!

When I bought my home theater, price was the main concern as I do not want to fork the same amount as I've spent on my stereo. I shopped and shopped and found this little package from Onkyo, HT-S670. What do you expect when it only cost slightly over 2 grand?

OK OK, everything was cool. Nothing to miss considering the price paid, the sub is the size of 2 Dell CPUs in my office! Movie dialogue was great, no distortion even when pushed hard, something that many failed to provide even at double/tripple the price.

Then you know, I started to get itchy and wondered what better cables would bring to the improvement? I am a cable guy, I believe in what cables could do to a well balanced setup. Why, coz it happened to my stereo.

So, when I was in HK, I bought myself a set of component cables, sub cable and digital co-axial cable each. Damage done? Half the price of my home theater. Any regret? NO!

Cable is a strange phenomenon for those non-believer. It's just something to get the signal from here to there, 0 remains 0 and 1 remains 1 no matter what cable you use, right? Wrong! Read the cable theory from AudioQuest and you'll know!

VDM-3 digital cable, this brings really huge improvement to the surrond performance. Highs open up with huge soundstage, speaker to speaker transistion was stunning! Now you really feel what surround is all about with the sound enveloping you!

SUB-X sub woofer cable, darn! Now this really takes the sub performance to the max! No boom! It was taut and defined, just complementing the main rather than fighting for attention. I could not believe my sub could do this at this price point!

YIQ-1 component video, must buy! The white veil on black was gone! This is really transparency in video sense! Colors become more vibrant and grey/black gradient was top notch! It was sharp and life like 3D!

Highly recommended if you have just acquired your home theater!

Hmmm... should I?

I guess I am having serious Compulsive Buying Disorder(CBD)! I have been buying non-stop since, eh, I dunno when.

I always have the perfect excuse to buy things that I want, making them more like the things I need. At least you feel better as when buying stuff that you need, you are not spending compulsively.

But then, I do use/utilise things that I buy. People with CBD don't usually even touch the stuff they buy. They simply pay, bring it home and dump them aside.

The first thing that I really think I have gone OTT is my mobile. I don't really need all the stuff packed within. It's just the pure glam factor! It was great the first few days of fiddling with it, you know the drill, huge vibrant screen, multiple format of ringtones and a cool hi-pixel camera!

I have been using this for a while, a short while to be exact. Let see, like 3 months? All the pictures you see in my Blog are all taken by this little gem! Cool eh?

At least, this is helping me to make my Blogspot a visually more stimulating place to be.

However, lately, I have been exposed with some mobiles from Sony Ericsson. First, it was the K750. The form factor and design is darn cool! The ringtones loud and clear! The screen was very detailed! Oh, the camera is something to kill for!

Then my sifu in HK changed to W800, which is in every way a K750 plus walkman functions. If you think K750 is cool, wait till you see the vibrant orange of W800!

So, if I were to buy W800 for the 2 reasons above, then I would be buying compulsively. But if for the reasons below, what do ya think?!

This sweet girl in my office is using a Sony Ericsson, if I were to use a SE mobile, then we have something in common to talk about. Things like "I'm new to SE mobile, what does this button do?" "I've got this cool ringtone in my mobile, can I beam it to you?"

Oh, what's better than "Hey, you are using SE as well, what a coincidence? We are meant together!" Hahahaha... I know I know, the last sentence was kinda overkill!

Nah, still no good to make it something I need to buy.

But what if I NEED a girl friend? A girl friend is a person you NEED. Someone you NEED to be there to share your joy and happiness. Someone you NEED to take good care of! Someone you NEED to be there to receive all the LV purses you bought due to CBD!

If you tell me a girl friend is something you WANT to have, then I would despise you! That would be purely on desire rather than love!

So, I guess I NEED the W800 then!

Some rantings...

I really have no idea how long since the last time I actually sit on my sofa and spend some quality time reading and enjoying my CDs.

There's a table beside my chair, normally, it's a place for me to place the book I am reading and the cover of the CD I am listening to. So, when I am out of the room, the table is cleared.

However, I found that the table is not enough anymore. It is stuffed with a lot of CDs I have bought and still in wrappers, books and magazines are stacked there with CLEO dating as early as June.

Yeah, the job afforded me with a hell lot of stuff, but what good it makes when you have no time for the luxury you earned?

I still remembered how simple it was during my last job when I have time for myself and plenty of freedom. You may not see where you were heading back then, but it was really relaxed. This rat race is no fun, eats most of my time and drains me fast!

Yeah, sometimes you wish you could have more, but what you had might be already what you really wish you have! It's just too easy to overlook what you are possessing now.

Playing with my daughter really free up my mind, sometimes, don't you really wish you have life like hers?!

I found my new love in HK

Who would ever expect this coming? Even me was swept off my feet! A man travelling over more than 3 hours of flight distance to find his true love in HK!

She is not one of those who's explicitly dressed to grab your attention, she's always in a dark jacket and velvet purple top. Didn't really realise it until I looked at her at closer distance. My eyes were all over her, loosing all my sense and defence.

I could not wait for the moment I know her better, how's she really like?!

Omigod, she's articulate with evenly distributed composure. Her bottom is tight and well defined, nothing sluggish nor loosey. Her top is delicate and well endowed, but not overdone to have grabbed your full attention. Her mid is in nice proportion, not a bit more not a bit less of fleshiness, just right in balance overall.

She has the presence factor in a wholesome manner, making you at ease with her company. She would not nag you in anyway for attention, you are just comfortably contended with her beside you.

Hey Fantasy, I love you!

Girls...

The previous posts about food and eye candy were just to set the mood right for this post.

You see, girls are funny creatures. There are a few cases which I find amusing!

I normally tell others I do not have girl friends, in fact, I never had one. The sad thing is, girls DO NOT appreciate virgins! They do not believe I am totally frank and honest to them, they always have the impression that I am lying.

I know I know, it's a sin for an attractive, charming, sensitive, sensible and cute guy like me to be single until now. It defies all the common sense and logic they built up throughout their growing years!

When they know that you have had many love escapades before them, they find you lack of security and would cling on to you in hope to be your LAST escapade, or grave to most guys. They become senseless and always try to challenge you to test how faithful you are to them and how honest you are to them.

Little things could develop into major tragics, big arguments, and months of cold war. They become insecured and try every trick they could find in CLEO, Cosmo and Marie Claire to track you down and lock you in. These could drag for years until you kneel down and ask them to marry you!

If your previous girl friends are either well endowed, strong in personality, scantily clad, sweet like honey or not-of-this-world, things get more interesting and totally a new ball of game! Try to let them find out how gorgeous and heavenly your previous loves are by leaving little clues and artifacts behind.

They feel priviledged and proud! Ideas like "my guy actually left all the fake bitches and start to appreciate girls with substance like me!" "I bet they could not even cook instant noodle, I know how to keep my guy with my secret recipes!" "brainless blondes with nothing but make ups, my guy is really starting to realise how superficial he was!"

But please make sure your normal female friends that you meet up with her together are well below her par! If you have to catch up with other female friends who are well endowed, strong in personality, scantily clad, sweet like honey and not-of-this-world, never ever bring them along. DO NOT even let them know even if it's just a normal catch up.

So, what's the best thing to plant in their mind if you want hassle free relationships?

I HAVE NOT REALLY HAD ANY GIRL FRIEND BEFORE I MET YOU, THE PREVIOUS ONES WERE JUST TOO SUPERFICIAL TO BE COMPARED WITH THE LOVE I HAVE FOR YOU, BEAUTY AND BODY WOULD LEAVE YOU, BUT I WOULD NEVER LEAVE YOU AT WILL.

OK, dessert time... and eye candy as well!

OK OK, enough of food!

Let's have something sweet!

Still around Happy Valley, we walked over and have dessert in 滿屋甜品. Ooh la la... everything is sweet and it was tough for us to make decision!

Anyway, here goes the menu...
芒果 pancake, much better than what I had in 表哥.
西瓜西米撈, watermelon, my favorite fruit of all time!
楊枝甘露 + 豆腐花. Wanna know what's 楊枝甘露? It's mango + 柚子. I bet you could never find anything as delicious as this in Malaysia!
芒果 + 豆腐花. The aroma alone tells you how delicious it is!

Want some eye candy? Here you go, she's the one I had dinner with!

Do you believe that?
Tell me who she's like!

Food, food, food... and food?

Hey, what's better to do in HK than eating? Nothing beats eating, well, if you eat at the wrong places, then it's luck!

We had our dinner around Happy Valley, quite close to the race course. You have to see how they fight for customers when 2 stalls open side by side. They were stuffing us with leaflets and menus!

Quite fun indeed and no hard feelings after you have made your choice. Alrite, let's head on to the dishes.

This is a nice pot of soup with shark fins.
Chicken! Juicy and tender!
Direct translation, the pissing prawns. What you call this in English actually?
Have you seen scallops as big as these? Succulent, toothsome, juicy and tender!
Fish, fresh from the tub. But the size is nothing comparable to our Malaysian fish!

Remember, it's located second floor of the 黃泥涌市政大廈街市, the one on the right hand side.

Food, food and food...

Things me and my colleagues had over lunch. The restaurant is just located behind Standard Chartered Bank SC Tower in 觀塘. To survive in HK food industry, you must make sure your food is nicely prepared and delicious to eat. Else, bye bye to your shop.
Baked beef rice with wasabi sauce.
Curry chicken rice, the banana leaf plate sure looks like ours albeit at a smaller size.
This is what I had, soy sauce chicken rice with pig intestine. Sorry, can't help myself to take pork in HK. Wish me luck...

翠華 is the name, quite spacious indeed.

Not your ordinary pen

I hate being a fake person keeping my real personality behind the deceiving mask to please the girls around. Hence, the ME you see with your bare naked eyes and the ME at home are the same ME, as genuine as can be. Maybe that's the reason why people did not find me a shy person, which is totally untrue.

From this blog, if you follow as closely as can be, you are actually peeling deeper and deeper of my inner real self, exposing my deepest fantasies and thoughts. I feel the worst vulnerability here.

Anyway, cut the philosophical crap, I am telling you another fantasy-turn-reality of mine.

Have you ever thought of where did all the airline pens come from? Yeah yeah, from the airlines. But mine is not, not your typical airline pen.

I was trying to fill in the form on my flight to HK but could not locate any pen. I searched high and low but to no avail. So, where could I get one? No way, not from any of the ordinary guys next to me!

I asked politely one of the sweet air stewardess, who has lips resembling Amber Chia's, whether if I could get a pen. With her sexy and pouty lips slightly open, she took a pen out of the apex of her tight fitting batik uniform with a deep V cutting, and said with a sexy husky tone, "sir, you can have this..."

Omigod! With my jaw wide open and saliva dripping all over me, I took the pen in disbelief, still feeling the warm pen in my palm. The faint warmth from her tight cleavage?! Oh my, I have never been so lucky!

I wonder what perfume she is wearing, sniff sniff...

Quickie in KLIA

Just a last catch up before my flight to HK, I was wondering how it's like posting in the airport.

Malaysia wants to be a world class nation with much investment being put into improving the nation's infra structure. But I guess we failed miserably!

I was waiting in front of the free net access stations and it was like testing your luck when you chose which one to wait for. It's like, gee, now let see who's gonna finish first!

The last time I left OZ around 2000, people has been using queueing theory for ages! Disregard of how many servicing nodes you have, there would only be one waiting line. Isn't it fair for everyone who's waiting?

Hey, wake up!

Free meals for those who leave comments

Hahahaha...

Just a thought, maybe I should spend those who leave comments on my blogspot.

I know people are reading my blog, many indeed, but they prefer to lurk around unnoticed.

How I know many are reading? Well, I could feel people being more sensitive towards me, girls find me more attractive, guys more caring towards my feelings and needs...

Hahahaha... nah, heaps of bullshit!

Anyway, I appreciate more comments coming my way!

Fantasy vs. Idolization

Fantasy, as explained in dictionary.com carries the following meaning:

an imagined event or sequence of mental images, such as a daydream, usually fulfilling a wish or psychological need, yet unrestricted by reality

Idolization, on the other hand, carries the following meaning:

the act of admiring strongly

There is a strong line for us males between fantasy and idolization, we do not "touch" our idol in anyway, be it in daydreams or wet dreams. Or at least for me.

Why do we idolize in the first place?

To quote from Leslie, "idolisation is a form of self-fulfillment and escapism - your idols are normally people who have skills/looks/abilities that you don't/can't have"

Hence, our idol is part of ourselves, or at least what we hope we could be. Can you imagine "touching" yourself? Yucks, me pervert!

So, with the above information, let's have some solid and physical examples.

The person that I admire most, even until today is a female DJ from 903. I have been listening to her since my uni year. And it makes me more vulnerable to know that she is the same age as I am, shame on me!

When you listen to her, you know she's well read, well learnt and well exposed! Ops, by expose I do not mean expose physically, but rather knowledge wise. But then, with her well endowed body and delicate skin, I DO NOT mind her being exposed in front of me. (good me: "NO, NO, must control myself, NO, I cannot do this! She is my idol! Argghghghhh, help me...")

OK, OK, I am back normal again. (bad me: "NO, you could not lock me up, I will break free one day! Muahahahaha...") Back to our topic, you could not help yourself but to enjoy her wit and charm in her programmes. The most brilliant thing that she has done is she created 2 pseudo characters with her own voice, one being the brother while the other being the younger sister. What she did was to lay her lesson learnt, knowledge, viewpoint and sarcasm within the conversations between the 2 characters! How cool is that?!

To know how much I admire her? I actually go all the way to get her autograph in HK. She was shocked to find herself a fan outside of HK. She wrote "thanks KC, you make me feel so international!" Cool eh?!

Then, what's in it for fantasy?! (bad me: "muahahahaha... I am free! I am free! It's my turn, my turn!") You know what I saw during the recent PC Fair? Girls in uniform with high heels playing the dancing machine in front of me? Girls with bra top and bareback dress as short as can be? Nah, normal stuff!

What I saw was a promo, no, not porno, girl licking and indulging herself in her lollipop! Omigod! How wild more a fantasy could a guy ask to see with his bare naked eyes?! That really made my day! Oooooooooohhhh... the sensation could still be felt! (bad me: "muahahahahaha, I have fully taken over! Muahahahaha...")

So, is the line clear?!

My new target in life... Meridian G08

I was on a emotional roller coaster ride last week wondering why do I work so hard?

Today, I can tell you my new target in life!

A CD player, not your ordinary CD player, but a CD player from one company which has made numerous very sought after CD players, Meridian is the name.

I have tried the 506.20 in my own setup and found it to be very musical. This player did not actually have a clear win over my modified Sony XA5ES, but it won hands down in musicality department!

If you have heard the 508.24, you'll swear that at that price range, there's very little competition out there! The extension at both ends, definition and musicality set benchmark for others in the market!

Then I saw the review for G08 in one of the magazine I bought. Omigod, the sleek industrial design with no fancy nonsense caught my full attention. Out of a sudden, the desire for me to own this CD player fully took over my senses!

But then, looking at the asking price in Taiwan, it would almost cost me RM26K. Wao, the figure took my breath away! Then I SMSed Leslie about this player, what a coincident, he just had a listen to this player. Actually he started raving about this player about a year ago, but then, the idea of upgrading my CD player has not crossed my mind!

Leslie told me that G08 is retailed at RM13K loacally, half of me was resonating with joy! The other half was, which I think is the bad part, keeps on telling me to hold back to my horse. So, let see which side of me would win the battle in the end.

Anyway, this is definitely my new target in life!

Wah, you into audio as well?

Today, I spoke to a colleague who is into audio as well. He was telling me about the price he got his KEF Q7, that's what I remember I heard, floorstanders and some cables he's got. And also he complained on the binding posts of his KEF in normal, bland bare metal, saying that all his cables are in gold plated termination. Also, he mentioned many brands of cables he bought and only one I could remember, which is the 1K plus Fadel Art digital cable. And how cheap he could get the KEF center speaker for RM4K and ways of getting it back from Singapore, e.g. bribe and some bullshit.

Sometimes, I really do not know what these guys are looking into when they buy hi-fi stuff. As for this guy, he is into home theater. Do they know what is tonality? How could you mix all the cables in a home theater setup when the most important aspect is tonal uniformity?

Is this all about bragging and enjoying it in front of those whom you talk to? I know I know, it feels good to brag it in front of others, but what about the most important thing going into this hobby? If it does not sound good, what's the point of spending so much? Just to look good?!

I feel good too when I mention my setup to others, but I seldom do this now knowing so few who share the same passion. Yes, mentioning figures makes me more superior than the peers, but others are not dumb, air of bragging does not make you a well-liked person.

So, I tried to keep my cool and let him have the stage.
