What's your dream/aim in life?

Well, we all had a dream, had an ideal in mind, when we were still young and innocent. We were ambitious and aggressive, hoping to achieve something that could change the world and bring us fame. We wanted to change the way the world is going and do things our way. Soon, we were jaded and lost in our way to find and achieve our dreams, our ideal.

Tonite, our manager suggested us to have dinner together and we went to this Korean BBQ in Sri Hartamas. It is in a secluded area known only to those who frequent here. This was my second time here and really enjoyed the food and environment here.

We were ordering and the boss came to greet us. He said he have seen some of us and must be regular here. I was puzzled actually, normally, bosses don't come to table except for 2 reasons:
a. To know how the food was.
b. To try to convince you to order some of his specialty.

Ah, it became obvious as he was trying to tell us that they have a dish specially prepared for some guests and they have some portion left to make us an order. The dish was something like steamed pork belly, my all time favorite, those juicy 3 ply meat with the toothfully textured fatty part.

Anyway, I restrained myself from ordering as not a single one in the table eats as UN-healthily as I do. And also, most would not bear their eyes to see such horrid scene of someone masticating the fresh and juicy pork belly.

Suddenly, I was greeted by a question from my manager, "What's your dream in life?" I was stunned as this has not crossed my mind for ages. I once dreamt of being a scientist and would invent robots to help the poor and needy. I almost took on medicine, but the family doctor told me you have to go thru the same duration as taking your primary and secondary again. Then I was exposed to computers and there was no turning back.

But that's just my occupation, not a dream. I hesitated and did not answer the question in the end. Well, if she ask me again, the answer would be:

"To have enough to take good care of my family and enough left for myself"
